Our History

Started in 2007, our focus has always been to provide care and all educational opportunities for children with social and financial disadvantages. We have been successfully ticking our goals and continue to do more. So far, we have built a pre-school, primary school, secondary school, and currently building a skills acquisition center.

Our Mission

The mission of Miracle Amadi Foundation is to help needy and neglected, including disabled children and youth in Nigeria. Countless children are homeless due to their social environment and their prospect of a livable life due to corruption and violence. In this situation, the project wants to help and support the weakest children and youth in Nigeria.

Corona aid package for the school community in Benin City

Miracle has already been asked by supporters whether one of our school children has Covid-19. Unfortunately, she has no information about this, as the Rhenium International School had to close temporarily - Nigeria has also imposed a nationwide curfew due to the corona pandemic.

Photo exhibition gives an insight into the children's world

During their visit in October 2019, Miracle initiated a special project: "We lent the children cameras with the task of photographing everything that is particularly beautiful and valuable to them". The children and parents had the opportunity to learn a little how to use a camera and had a lot of fun with it.

School trip to local 'farm'

On March 13, 2020 - shortly before the school closes due to the corona pandemic - pupils from the Rhenium International School visited a local farm. Students should learn about the conditions under which plant and animal products are made. And how much work and feed it takes to raise animals. Providing the population with nutritious food is a major challenge in the densely populated country of Nigeria.

News from my current visit to Benin City

Since our old school bus was increasingly failing due to the stress of the poor road conditions, we now had to buy two more used buses. We have had these prepared and they are already in operation. We couldn't give away the old school bus. So we repaired it again and decided that the old bus would be used once a week and the new ones twice a week. In this way, we can reduce the use of the individual buses and guarantee our school children a safe journey to school again.

Donate for laptops - online lessons instead of dropping out

With currently 'only' 985 deaths in connection with Covid-19, it seems as if Nigeria got through the pandemic lightly. But efforts to stop the spread of the virus have drastic effects, including for our students: the school was closed for regular classes in March 2020 and this closure is likely to continue until the end of the year.
